The Sacred Heart Cathedral swim program delivered a strong performance at the CCS Championships this past week, highlighted by record-breaking swims and standout individual efforts.
The Girls Varsity 200 Medley Relay team of
Ryland Pugh '28,
Isabella Devlin '27,
Berlyn Ring '27, and
Maggie Crehan '27 posted a 1:57.67, placing 29th overall. The same quartet also set a new SHC school record in the Girls Varsity 400 Free Relay with a time of 3:51.03, finishing 27th overall.
Individually,
Berlyn Ring earned CCS qualification in the 50 Free and swam a personal-best 25.34, placing 34th overall. She also competed in the 100 Free, where the school record holder finished in 56.08 to place 33rd overall.
On the boys side,
Konstantin Kornach '26 continued his record-setting season in the 200 Free, lowering his own SHC record from 1:47.38 to 1:45.57 and placing 22nd overall. Kornach also recorded a personal best in the 100 Fly with a time of 53.08, good for 30th overall.
SHC proudly sent a school-record five swimmers to the CCS Championships, with each athlete competing at a high level in one of the region's most competitive meets.
