Sacred Heart Cathedral Coach and Student-Athlete Interview Policies

1. Interview requests for Sacred Heart Cathedral (SHC) coaches and student-athletes should be made through the SHC Athletic Department by contacting Phil Freed, Athletic Director, or the SHC Office of Communications by contacting Marcus Tolero, Director of Communications.
2. All SHC coach and student-athlete interview requests should be made 48 hours in advance.
3. Media members are asked not to contact SHC student-athletes directly for interviews.
4. A member of the Athletic Department or coaching staff will coordinate all player interviews. 

Practice Media Coverage

1. Members of the media may request access to attend practice through the Athletics Department.
2. If access is granted, members of the media will have access to the first or last 20 minutes of practice to collect b-roll footage for an interview or story.
3. All interview requests will be arranged before the start of, or at the end of, practice.
4. Please contact the Athletics Department to make arrangements.

Game Day Media Coverage

1. Members of the media wanting to cover an SHC home athletic event will need to fill out the SHC Athletics Media Credential Request Form.
2. The request will be reviewed and you will receive a response to your request within 72 hours.
3. If you do not complete the SHC Athletics Media Credential Request Form, you will not receive a credential for the game you have requested. 
4. SHC coaches and student-athletes will not be available for pregame interviews.
5. SHC coaches and student-athletes will be available for media approximately 10 minutes after the conclusion of the game.
6. The SHC locker rooms are closed to all members of the media on game day.
