On Saturday, November 15, the Sacred Heart Cathedral football team took on a well coached Wilcox team at City College of SF in the CCS DII Quarterfinals. Playing against a team that runs the veer option can be challenging because it requires all teammates to cover their assignments. 

On Saturday, the Irish did just that and more. Despite being down 12-14 at halftime, the Irish roared back in the second half on the heels of two turnovers that they converted into touchdowns. Late in the game, the Irish went on a long drive resulting in the third and final touchdown of the second half to put the Irish on top 34-21. 

The CCS Division II quarterfinal win advances the Irish to the semi-finals which will be played Saturday, November 22, at 1:00pm at Kezar against Santa Teresa High School.
