Despite a tough start to the season for the Sacred Heart Cathedral boys tennis team, there have been several performances over the last couple of weeks that show immense promise and progress for this program.

Close matches against Junipero Serra High School and Stuart Hall High School showcase the growth of the squad. Nico Esser '24 has stood out, performing incredibly well in these matches with final scores of 6-1 and 6-3 versus Stuart Hall. Sam Besstte '24 alongside Jordan Fernandez '24 in a doubles match against Junipero Serra High School, finished with a stellar 6-3, 6-4 score.

In their latest matchup against Archbishop Mitty, Sebastian De Vries-Ravano '24 displayed persistent mental toughness, finishing the day with scores of 6-4 and 7-6 in his singles match.

Head coach Andy Liang has stated that the boys are making valuable progress throughout their matches during the season and are making significant developments with every practice.

The boy's tennis program looks to lock down their first win of the season on Monday April 17th against Bellarmine at San Francisco State University at 3:30pm.
