The Sacred Heart Cathedral girls volleyball team will hang a third championship banner under third year Head Coach Symone Mackiewicz after a decisive win over Soquel in the Central Coast Section Division III Championship on Saturday.  With contributions from the starters and reserves, the Irish handled the Knights with consistency in a 3-0 sweep, 25-15, 25-15, 25-15.  Kill leaders for the Irish were outside hitters Livy Tangaan '25 and Sofie Daters '25, while libero Madi Mullins '26 led the defense with 12 digs.  Setter Doris Cheung '26 led the offense with 16 assists and was nominated for Bay Area News Group Girls Athlete of the Week. 

The team continues its post-season journey as the NorCal #8 seed in the CIF State Division II Tournament.  The team will host University HS in round 1 on Tuesday, November 12 at 6pm in the SHC Pavilion.
