Sacred Heart Cathedral's boys lacrosse team posted their first league win on Wednesday with a 9-6 win over the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs.
Jackson Perkins '27 led the Irish offense with six goals, and
Lucas Esposto '26 and
Ian Wellbeloved '27 also contributed to the goal total. Goalie
Conor Gard '25 tallied 20 saves in the effort, while
Graham Moore 27 won 13 face offs for the Irish.
The team has been plagued with injuries this season but continue to grow and improve under first year head coach
Alex Cole. He praised the hard work that his players have put in this season and the effort displayed against Mitty. "Our players have been working hard all season. They battled hard against a solid Archbishop Mitty team, executed the game plan focusing on transition game."
The Irish are back in action next Wednesday, April 9, at 3:30pm when they face Menlo at Menlo.
