Many Bay Area residents experienced the wet weather this past weekend and the SHC boys lacrosse team was no different. The Irish faced San Francisco rival Stuart Hall at Lang Field on Friday evening and were able to defeat the Knights 9-0 despite the rain.

Sacred Heart Cathedral is now 3-0 on the young season with a couple more games coming up this week. Senior midfielder Jackson Irons scored a hat trick and added an assist to the scorecard. Attacker Max Castro scored a goal and assisted on two others. Three other Irish players scored a goal while Eliot Stein opened his scoring account with two goals. 

In the all important groundball stat, especially in the pouring rain, senior Alexander Kiss scooped up five to maintain possessions for his team. 

The Irish will be back in action this week with two matches. They'll play Serra on Wednesday at 3:30pm before traveling north to Tamalpais HS on Saturday, March 9, at 12:30pm.
