The Sacred Heart Cathedral girls soccer team enjoyed a sweet victory in their upset over Aragon HS 2-1 in the Central Coast Section Division II quarterfinals on Saturday.  Coming from a 1-0 deficit, Francesca Johnson '27 scored in the 32nd minute on an assist from Annie Gaffney '25. The score remained tied until the 70th minute when Johnson scored again on an assist from Gabriella Cameron '26.  The Irish held on to win 2-1 and advance to the CCS D2 semifinals. The win was especially gratifying as the #6 seeded Irish turned the tables on the #3 seeded Dons, who earlier in the season handed the Irish a 2-1 loss, one of only five losses of the season for SHC.  

The team will face #2 seeded Salinas on the road on Wednesday, February 26, at 6pm.
