The SHC girls varsity soccer team has gotten a solid start to the 2025-26 campaign. They opened the season with two lopsided wins over Bay and El Camino followed by 0-0 a tie against Sequoia.
On Saturday at Aragon High School in San Mateo, the Irish battled a tough Aragon team for possession for 40 minutes that resulted in a 0-0 score at the half.
The Irish remained patient but determined and were rewarded when Kylee Po put one in the back of the net on an assist from Francesca Johnson in the 60th minute. Then, with about 12 minutes remaining, the Irish got their second goal from Jamison Gette who knocked one in off the left post.
With minutes remaining, Aragon threatened, but Irish goalkeeper Kate Kehoe made some great saves to keep the Dons scoreless.
The Irish remain undefeated on the season and will face Lowell on December 12 at 3:30pm at Beach Chalet.
Go Irish!
