The Sacred Heart Cathedral boys volleyball team swept opponent St. Ignatius 3-0 on the road Tuesday with a balanced offense and contributions from the entire lineup. Oskar Ovalle '24 led the offense with 11 kills, Callum McArthur '24 posted 8 kills, and Ethan Arguello '24 7, while five other players tallied kills.  Colin Woo '24 served up 3 aces in the effort. 

Defensively, the team got blocks from Kyon Zeinali '24, Zachary Thomas '24, Gabriel Pardini '25, Christoph Schroeder '26 and Ovalle and 45 digs from 10 different players. Setters Sloan Dobson '25 and Kowie Apana '24 posted 14 and 18 assists respectively.  

The team followed the decisive road win with a sweep at home over Serra on Thursday, 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-15).  The team now sits 23-5 overall and 6-3 in WCAL play.  They're back in action on Saturday at the Days & Knights Invitational hosted by Hillsdale High School in San Mateo.
