The Sacred Heart Cathedral girls basketball team continued their play in the CCS Open Division Championships, defeating Priory 52-42 in Pool B. The Irish beat Los Gatos to open Pool B play but were upset by archrival Saint Ignatius, which put the Irish at 2-1 in Open Division play. 

In the Irish's win over Priory, University of New Mexico commit Reza Po '24 scored her 1,000th point for the Irish to join an elite list in SHC history.  Po was presented with a commemorative ball to mark the achievement.  

By making CCS Open Division playoffs, the Irish automatically qualify for NorCal playoffs and will learn where they are seeded in the State Tournament brackets on Sunday, February 25.
