The Sacred Heart Cathedral girls basketball team won its second straight tournament this past weekend in a 57-55 overtime win over Riordan on Saturday at the Terra Nova Jim Soden Tournament.
Reza Po '24 led the Irish with 25 points. The Irish are now 6-0 in preseason play.
On Friday, the team posted a tournament semifinal win 60-47 over Woodside Priory. Coach Demetrius Jackson stated, "This was a great test early in the season against a very competitive, physical and high level program."
Madison Eade '25 led the Irish offense with 20 points in the victory over Priory, while
Reza Po '24 and
Kiana Moniz '24 contributed 15 and 14 respectively.
The team will be back in action at home when they host the University Red Devils on Tuesday, December 12, at 7:00pm.
