At the Lagoon Valley Classic, the SHC Cross Country team earned a total of 31 individual medals. The Varsity Girls took 1st place in the small schools division for the second year in a row, led by Annabel Chung '28 and Veronica Panina '26 in 13th and 14th place. The JV Girls placed three runners in the top 5, with Violet Daters '28 in 2nd place leading the way to another 1st place Irish team finish. On the boys side, both the Varsity Boys (led by Sean Kummer '26 in 12th place) and JV Boys (led by Zev Runeare '28 in 8th place) placed third. Takeo Malong '29 led the Frosh Boys with an 8th place finish. 

To celebrate a great opening meet at the Lagoon Valley Classic, the SHC Cross Country team organized themselves to do a beach clean-up on Labor Day.
