Sacred Heart Cathedral boys basketball qualified for the Central Coast Section playoffs, earning the #4 seed in Division III. They hosted #5 seed Saratoga in their quarterfinal match on Tuesday and posted an 87-74 win.  Five players scored double digit points for the Irish with Valentino Fierros '26 and Kiran Tate-Day '27 leading the team with 22 and 20 respectively. Andre Daniels '27 contributed 15 points, and Isayah Kennedy '27 and Cory Wong '26 each added 11.  Mickey Williams '26 posted 12 rebounds in the effort.  

Coach Caesar Smith '98 called the effort "a great team win."  

The Irish advance to the CCS semifinals where they will face the #1 seed Aptos at Aptos tonight at 7pm.  If they win, they will advance to the CCS Championship game in search of their third consecutive CCS title.
